Preface

The purpose of "Fundamental Chemical Experiments", an undergraduate course open to all departments in Kyoto University, is to learn basic operations of the experiment and the theory behind the operations. The students in the class practices the experiments by himself/herself. While some students in the class have gotten well used to chemical experiments at high schools, some students have no experience with any chemical experiments. Now, we have prepared this visual teaching material including videos, operation guide of experimental apparatus, for such inexperienced students to start smoothly the chemical experiments.
